East Euclid Waterline Extension
The Town of West Point has received bids for constructing a new water main within the public right-of-way along East Euclid Boulevard, Newman Road, Sandy Creek Road (Improved & Unimproved) and Briarwood Lane. The construction of the waterline will be performed primarily by the use of directional boring methods. This will help reduce impact to surrounding property and will cost less to construct. Efforts will be made to minimize any impacts as a result of this project. During construction, there could be travel inconveniences such as temporary road closures, construction equipment present and temporary interruptions to water service. The Town of West Point will provide as much notice as possible when water service will be disrupted.If you have any questions in the interim, please contact Walter Feurer at 804.843.4365.
Waterfront Redevelopment
The Economic Development Authority has been working to restore the 7th Street Marina with a dock, boat slips and amenities. The site has been purchased by the private development partnership 'Four on the Shore,' with plans to build this marina. In March, 2011, the Town of West Point on behalf of 'Four on the Shore' was awarded $570,043 from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife’s Boating Infrastructure Grant Program (BIG) in order to assist in the redevelopment of the 7th Street marina site.
