Revenues go toward:
- Staff
support, equipment, and materials for the utility.
- Upgrade
and maintenance to water wells, pumps, and towers.
- Lee Street water line replacement (15th - 19th Streets)
- Kirby Street water line replacement
- Industrial Park water line extension
- Blue Heron Lane water line installation
The Industrial Park Water Line project was completed in May, 2008. Lee Street and Kirby Street projects will be completed in June, 2010. The Blue Heron Lane project will start in September, 2010 and is scheduled for completion in January, 2011.
The water
utility is completely self-supported through water revenues; no tax
dollars are used to fund the utility.
