Planning Commission
The Planning Commission is composed of five regular members, who are Town residents, appointed by Town Council. The Town Council is responsible for the Comprehensive Plan and also for guiding the coordinated, development of the area, in accordance with present and probable future needs, to best promote the health, safety, morals, order, convenience, prosperity and general welfare of the inhabitants. The Planning Commission makes recommendations to Town Council holding public hearings on land use applications. The Planning Commission meets when an application is submitted on the first Wednesday of the month. Meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. and held in Council Chambers of the The West Point Town Hall, located at 802 Main Street, West Point, VA 23181.
